Electrical and Electronics Engineering » Introduction

The department has been offering B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an annual intake of 60 right from the inception of the institute in the year 2002 and M.Tech in Power Electronics with an annual intake of 18 from 2009 onwards. The department is enriched with expertised and experienced faculty from reputed institutes and industry. It is backed by Secretary Mr D Pandu Ranga Rao, who has a sound industrial and teaching experience in the field of Electrical Engineering. It has state-of-art laboratories for the students to explore their knowledge. Computers with high-end configuration are provided with high speed broadband internet, intranet and different simulation software. The department is organizing guest lectures, seminars, workshops, national level student paper contests and industrial tours every year for the benefit of students at regular intervals. Faculty and students are encouraged to attend paper presentation, conferences, workshops, seminars and so on.

The expertise and exposure that is being provided has become the platform for the EEE Engineers to enrich their technical knowledge, skills and making them ready to face the challenges of the industry. Majority of our students are placed in various companies including MNCs, bears a witness to the good work being done by the deparment.

Objective

The Objective of the department is to provide quality education with practical orientation by enriching the students with knowledge & skills that help them to become employable graduate Engineers and to face the challenges of the industry and society.
